In this dispute, our company was defending the interests of the plaintiff in district court. The subject of the dispute was the imposition of a sum of money on the defendant under the contract of work.
The case was particularly complex in legal terms, as well as in the scarcity of evidence. Within the utmost effort of our lawyers, the court considered the evidence obtained by us to be fully satisfactory to the claim. Defendant was ordered to pay a total of GEL 8,000,000 (Eight Million Georgian Lari) in favor of our client.
In the course of the dispute, the respondent filed a counterclaim in which the subject of the dispute was the imposition of a fine in favor of the defendant. This circumstance was doubly important in concluding the case in favor of our client, otherwise the original plaintiff would have been obliged to pay a certain amount to the defendant.
In all other circumstances, it should be noted that we have been asked three times to apply a measure to secure the defendant’s property, from which the court in all cases shared our (plaintiff’s) position and barred the defendant from alienating and / or encumbering the property owned by them.
